How it works

Questions we get asked
Can you add a film that is not on IMDb yet?
Yes, once it has public announcements to cite. IMDb asks for basic identifying details, a production detail and at least three main credits, and a source such as a news report for a film that is still being made.
How long do IMDb changes take?
IMDb's editors review every submission. Most go live within one to seven days; some, such as merging a person's duplicate profiles, take longer. We track each submission until it is approved or answered.
Can you raise our IMDb rating?
Not with paid or fake ratings: IMDb treats them as manipulation, and they can get a film's rating flagged. After release we remind people who watched the film to rate it.
Who sets the main poster on IMDb?
The production company, through IMDb's free Title Scorecard access for its company email. We add official posters and stills to the gallery and help your team apply for that access.
How is it priced?
Per film: a one-off clean-up of the IMDb page, with optional upkeep through the release. We quote after looking at the film's current page.
