Green Girl is a coastal Karnataka love story about Jeevan and Ameena, a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl in Mangaluru, told largely through colour: green stands for Ameena and the divide between the two communities. Sarthak Hegde wrote it with Triko and Manish Kumar and directed it; Mayur Gowda and Sucharitha Haritas play the leads, with Sudarshan Acharya Yekkar. Surya Srini composed the music, released as a full soundtrack in September 2025, and Abhinay Pandit shot it.
Green Girl opened in cinemas across Karnataka on 12 September 2025, presented by KRG Studios: an unusual theatrical release for a film under an hour long. The Hollywood Reporter India and The Indian Express praised its form and its picture of coastal Karnataka, The News Minute found it tender but uneven, and Frontline later named it the year's most audacious film. The makers report a Best Film nomination at the 2026 Prajavani Cine Sanman Awards.
