Mr Jack now has its Friday: 4 December 2026. The makers made the date public in the Dasara festival season, Cinema Express reported on 16 October, and the film's page on the District ticketing app lists the same day. Gurunandan, who plays the title role, also produces the film with a circle of friends, according to Cinema Express.
The date replaces an earlier target. When the teaser went up on Anand Audio's YouTube channel on 31 August, the team was aiming for October, as Cinema Express reported on 2 September. The title track, sung by MC Bijju, followed on the same channel on 15 September. The new date is the first Friday of December, about seven weeks after it was reported.
Sumanth Gowda wrote and directed the comedy, which turns on the trouble that married life can bring. Gurunandan plays Janakirama, whom everyone calls Mr Jack, and Thapaswini Poonacha plays Nandini, a schoolteacher. The supporting cast includes Gopalakrishna Deshpande, Mithra, Dharmanna Kadur, Aravind and Sushmitha Jaggappa.
Gurunandan's earlier films are measured on SouthSide's Namma Sandalwood pages. Five posts about Raju James Bond, the 2025 spy comedy he led, drew 1.84 lakh views, and five about Forest, a 2025 ensemble comedy thriller he acted in, drew 2.13 lakh, according to the two dashboards when we read them on 19 October 2026.
