Simple Suni's science-fiction social thriller now has a firm theatrical date: 20 November 2026. The date was shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on X, and it was reported the same day by The New Indian Express's Cinema Express, Vijay Karnataka and The Times of India.
The bigger change is the release plan. Hindi producer Mahaveer Jain, whose banner has backed Uunchai, Ram Setu and Good Luck Jerry, has partnered with the team to present the film, and it will open in Kannada and Hindi together across the country. Reports describe it as the banner's first step into regional-language cinema.
The film is built around a humanoid robot named Jia, made by a Bengaluru robotics company and playing a major role on screen rather than appearing as computer graphics. Debutant lead Anil Shetty also wrote and produced it, with Kunal Kapoor making his Kannada debut. Shooting began in January and has recently wrapped, which leaves about five weeks between the announced date and release. The makers have said the first look will arrive on 14 October.
