Bhavantara casts Tanvi Rao as the lead in Karthik Sharma's first film as director

In the film she is Radha, a documentary maker whose strict line between work and home is broken by an event she did not see coming, and the story follows what that event sets off. Tanvi has said Karthik Sharma built the story after seeing her work in Lakshmi Baramma. He ran an acting workshop for the cast ahead of the shoot, and most scenes were filmed at real locations.
Tanvi Rao acted in the Hindi films Gulaab Gang, Gulmohar and Guns of Banaras while still at school, and is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer who has performed abroad. The makers say Bhavantara will arrive in theatres soon but have not given a date.
