Average reach per post
The numbers
| Format | Posts | Share of posts | Measured | Avg reach | Avg views | Total reach |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Reel | 1,782 | 32% | 1,782 | 1.24 L | 1.87 L | 22.11 Cr |
| Carousel | 900 | 16% | 899 | 57.6K | 1.16 L | 5.18 Cr |
| Photo | 2,952 | 52% | 2,952 | 45.5K | 69.9K | 13.43 Cr |
Reach = unique accounts reached per Meta's insights API. A reel averages 1.24 L accounts — 2.7× a photo. Averages hide variance: the biggest single posts on the leaderboard dashboards are all reels, and a poorly-timed reel still underperforms a well-timed photo.
What we do with this
Campaign plans lead with reels for reach and use carousels and photos for announcements, stills and dates, where the job is recall rather than reach. Every campaign's own format mix is visible on its dashboard under "By post type".
Planning a release?
Every SouthSide campaign ships with a live, post-by-post dashboard like the ones above — measured from the Meta API, published in public.
